Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What areas do you serve?
I provide in-home therapy services to residents of the following San Gabriel Valley communities: Alhambra, Rosemead, Temple City, San Gabriel, El Monte, San Marino, Monterey Park, Pasadena, Arcadia, Sierra Madre, Monrovia, Montebello, and Hacienda Heights. Additional fees may apply for residences outside of a 5-mile radius. Virtual therapy services are available to all California residents.
Q: Do you offer after-work or weekend appointments?
Appointments scheduled after 5pm and on weekends are limited in availability but may be offered depending on the diagnosis and whether the sessions will take place in person or online. Please inform me during our initial consultation if you require specific appointment times so that we may collaborate on selecting a time that is most convenient for you.
Q: Do you take insurance?
With the exception of Medicare, Bright Outcomes Speech Therapy is an out-of-network provider, therefore, insurance is not billed directly. However, superbills containing necessary documentation and coding are provided to you upon request to submit to your insurance provider for reimbursement. I strongly recommend that you contact your insurance company to understand your benefits and reimbursement policies for out-of-network services. Please note that some insurances require a physician referral prior to the start of services if you do plan to submit a superbill.
Q: What types of payment do you accept?
Payments can be made with all major credit cards through Ivy Pay, a HIPAA-secure platform. Some speech therapy services can also be paid using your flexible spending account (FSA) or healthcare savings account (HSA). Full payment for services will be due at the time of services are provided.
Q: Is teletherapy as effective as in-person appointments?
Teletherapy helps to remove limitations that prevent clients from receiving the services they need and deserve. Research has shown that telepractice can be just as effective and engaging as in-person therapy. I am able to utilize the same treatment methods and strategies for the majority of diagnoses and for some, teletherapy might actually offer even more materials that are only accessible online. Teletherapy also reduces cancellations and increases flexibility in scheduling due to reduced travel time.
Q: How long will I need speech therapy services for?
Many factors impact how soon you will begin to see the results you want including but not limited to the severity of the disorder, motivation to participate, and follow-through with home programs. Every individual progresses at their own rate and I am committed to putting in all of my efforts to set up each and every one of my clients for success. I do this by creating optimal environments for you to thrive in and providing tools that you can actually use in daily activities.
